Hi
All
It
has been a little while since I have been in touch with you, so I thought it was
about time that I brought you up to date.
1.
January 2011 Reunion. The Holiday Inn at Weston Turville has been booked
for Saturday 22nd January 2011. Quite a few of you have already booked
accommodation, in fact some people have even booked for two nights. So this is a
gently reminder for the rest of you to start thinking of booking and letting me
know who is coming. If you have mislaid the information on booking the hotel,
and getting the agreed cheap rate, please let me know and I will send you
another copy. Also if you are in contact with 88th Entry guys that are not on my
e-mail list, could you pass on the info to them about the reunion.
2.
Halton Triennial Reunion. Will be held on Saturday 25th September 2010.
There is a change in format to previous years. Instead of meeting at the
airfield we are starting in the Burton Hall, Hendersn Grove (2 Wing).
I
look forward to seeing some of you there.
3.
Halton Grove at the National Memorial Arboretum. In the last issue of
the Haltonian mag. it is being planned to lay Entry funded pavers at the site.
For those of you that do not get the Haltonian please see the attachment below
for a copy of the article in question. As you can see the cost of a paver is £50
(that would work out about £1 each). I think it is a great idea and well worth
it. Therefore, if no-one has any objections I will put our order in for an 88th
paver when I go to the Triennial reunion in September. The money side of it can
be sorted out at our Reunion in January.
That is all for now, so look after yourselves
Regards
Nick Nicolle
